2000 Epiphone Japan LPS-80 Les Paul Standard plain top, in honeyburst, with Gibson-style open book headstock.
Beautiful MIJ Epiphone Les Paul Standard (LPS-80) in a very nice amber honeyburst finish. Nicely carved plain top, with a lot of pronounced grain.
Based on the serial number, I believe this to be a 2000. The guitar is practically untouched, but does have a few small nicks or marks in the finish if you go hunting for them.
Currently setup with 10-46 strings. It plays beautifully and sounds great.
Condition is Excellent+, but not quite mint. No buckle rash or dings, one small chip along the rear body edge (this goes to the wood).
The neck is clean and straight.
See the photos for more detail; the guitar is very clean. I don’t know if it was ever even played as it arrived with the pickups and plastics still covered in their original protective film. I removed the neck pickup’s film, and the control switch cover plate’s film, but decided to leave the rest in place for now.
Guitar is all original. There is a bit of patina, a general bit of aging all around the guitar, but it is very clean. Based on the plastics and condition, it seems like it was barely or never played. All electronics work properly.
